While wondering through the mall recently, I discovered a new store specializing in trendy home decor called, Typo. I found this skull canvas (I have an odd obsession with skulls) and had to have it. While looking around the Australian-based store I found a lot of other fun affordable pieces, like my 'F*CK DECAF' coffee mug and a spiral notebook. This brought out my darkside and compelled me to do this semi-sinister collage. An obvious designer to turn to for such a subject is Alexander McQueen, for their use of skulls and dark style. The ring, clutch, and blouse really helped the cohesion to this collage.

My sister, Lauren, came to visit me in Minneapolis for Basilica Block Party to see: The Head and the Heart, The Lumineers, Fitz and the Tantrums, and The Avett Brothers. While she was in the Land of Lakes, she wanted to make a trip to the Mall of America to take advantage of Minnesota's lack of shopping tax. One of our major stops was H&M, which is filled with tons of great pieces, especially some of the oversized, Prada-inspired jewelry. We both bought pairs of earring, and at $7.95, we were able to look glamorous without paying the Prada pricetag!

This output is consistently adored by individuals with a spectrum of styles. Myself, who is constantly in between a variety of aesthetics and influences, is able to find refuge in J.Crew, and assurance in the value of each piece. They also represent the iconic, worldly man, always dressed well in fitted pants and taylored detail, but with some unpredictability and modernity.

I love when brilliant detail is directed towards the simplest of articles. The collar is a often forgotten limb of wardobing, that adds sophistication and decorousness to any outfit. These collars masterfully accentuate the neckline and personalize one's ensemble without loosing the formal air. These look great paired with classic oxfords, chambray, or uncollared shirts! The ones I found ranged from $15-$27. Also, in my search, I stumbled upon Chicwish, a website with adorable and affordable clothes and accesories. Definitely one of my new favorites!

My new hair!!!

Recently got an ombre at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, and I LOVE it! It adds some excitement to my normal brown hair, and looks natural for summer.
